There are no specifically detached Romani settlements in the urban centre of Tuzla.
It is estimated that there are about 400 residents living in the urban centre.
We have managed to contact 13 persons in four households, in one part of the city.
Among them, one person was employed, one is retired, one family lives of collecting secondary raw materials.
We registered five children and they are all in school.
One family lives in their own house, and three live as subtenants.
According to Ahmet Mujic, our contact person in this settlement, in addition to the problems all Romani are faced with, like unemployment and health protection, there are no larger problems in this settlement.
A more comprehensive data gathering on all the Romani people living in the urban part of the city requires a longer research, finding their residences and establishing contact with them.
