Romani settlement “Si Selo” is located about 2 km from the centre of Tuzla, in the eastern part of the city.
It is estimated that there are some 25 residents living in this community, making up three households.
Out of working-age adults, none are full time employed.
Two families live of collecting secondary raw materials.
There are 9 children in this community, of which 2 go to school.
Two Romani families live as subtenants, and one family lives in their own house.
According to our contact person in this community, Rasid Beganovic, in addition to problems faced by all Romani people, unemployment and health protection, this settlement has a specific problem of housing, because the majority of population lives in inhumane conditions, in old, run-down shacks.
