Local community “Mramor” is some 15 km away from Tuzla, to the north-west.
There is Romani settlement in this community with about 100 residents.
Survey was carried out with 36 persons, living in nine households, who were present, not outside of the country and who have not refused to declare as Romani.
No one is full time employed in this community. Two persons are retired, two families live of collecting secondary raw materials, two families live of social welfare and one family lives of selling second hand goods.
Out of the total number of respondents, 18 were children, of which 7 go to school.
Two Romani families live as subtenants, and seven families lives in their own houses. According to Alija Ahmetovic, our contact person in this settlement, in addition to the problems all Romani are faced with, like unemployment and health protection, this settlement does not have any larger problems.
