Romani settlement “Kojsino” is accommodated in the northern part of Tuzla, local community Centar.
It is 1 km from the city centre.
It is estimated that the Romani community in this settlement has around 300 people.
Survey was carried out with 71 residents, living in 15 households.
During the visit to the settlement they were present there, i.e. were not abroad and are not refusing to be declared as Romani.
Four working-age adults have full time employment, and three persons are retired.
Four families are living on collecting secondary raw materials, three families live on social welfare and two fund their living by selling second hand goods.
There are 41 children in this community, of which 23 go to school.
Fourteen families live in their own houses, one family live as subtenants.
According to our contact person, Envera Sarajlic, the largest problem faced by the residents of this settlement, in addition to unemployment and health protection, faced by all Romani people, is the problem of land sliding and phenomenon of slides caused by the large floods in 2014.
